The coastline is 116.04 km to the East and borderline with Lao PRD to the West is 201.87km. The province shares borders with Ha Tinh province to the North and Quang Tri province to the South. Quang Binh has Hon La seaport, Dong Hoi airport, North-South railway line, National Highway 1A, Ho Chi Minh road, National Highway 12, Provincial Roads 20 and 16 from East to West to Cha Lo International Border gate and other small borders with Lao PRD.
